Supporting the Next Generation of Developers

We are where we are today thanks to thousands of kind people who shared their knowledge of game development and programming through tutorials, documentation, guides, and helpful posts online. That support is a big reason why helping others has always mattered so much to us. It is also why most of the learning material and documentation on our website is open and free for everyone to use.

For over 16 years, we have built assets and practical tools for developers. For the past 11 years, we have also produced tutorials, courses, and guides watched by more than 1.5 million people. Along the way, we have provided private tutoring, shared our knowledge on public forums, and built a strong reputation for helping people turn their vision into reality and achieve their goals.

We want people entering the entertainment and game development industry to feel comfortable, supported, and excited about everything they are about to learn and experience.

A Better Place to Learn

With our new website, we wanted to create a better space that allows users to easily find our content and have an easier time learning. Clear documentation, good tutorials, and simple explanations matter. When someone is new to game development or Unreal Engine, the first steps can feel overwhelming. Good learning material makes that first step easier, we know that from experience.

Supporting Schools, Tutors, and Education

We are proud to support schools, teachers, tutors, and universities around the world.

Our products are used in teaching, student projects, and portfolio work. We understand that teachers often have limited time to create learning material, and supporting that process has been important to us for many years. We have helped schools around the world by creating tools and resources that are easier to use, easier to teach with, and easier for students to learn from.

Our shaders are often used as teaching examples, especially when breaking down technical art and graphics programming into smaller, more understandable parts. Because we add comments to all our code and provide descriptions for most parameters, students can more easily follow the thinking behind our work and understand why certain approaches were chosen.

We have also visited schools and universities to hold seminars and help students learn more about game development. We are very proud to be part of that journey, and we look forward to continuing our support for education in the years ahead.

Schools and Universities We Have Supported

Over the years, we have been proud to support a wide range of schools, universities, and educational institutions through our products, learning material, and direct outreach. Seeing our work become part of teaching, student projects, and creative learning environments around the world continues to mean a great deal to us.

Some of the schools and institutions we have supported include:

  • Queensland Department of Education
  • Yonsei University
  • Columbus College of Art & Design
  • School of Visual Arts in New York
  • Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg
  • Elisava Barcelona School of Design and Engineering
  • University of Nevada, Reno
  • Along with many others.

Looking Ahead

Our goal has always been to make game development feel more open, more understandable, and more exciting for the people stepping into it. That will continue to guide the way we build, teach, and share.

We want to keep creating helpful tools, improving our learning material, and finding better ways to support the people who use our work. We also want to keep listening to the teachers, students, and developers who show us every day what is needed, what is working, and where we can do better.

Let's Talk

If you are in education, we would love to hear from you.

If you work at a school, run a learning center, teach, tutor, or help people get started in game development and art, feel free to reach out. We are always happy to talk about education, how people learn, and how we can help.

And if you want to follow the journey, join our community, follow our social channels, and stay connected for future tutorials, resources, and updates.
