Information
Grid is a pack of 6 grid materials and 25 high-quality grid textures made for blockouts, prototype environments, and early development work.
The included textures are high resolution and come with roughness, metallic, normal, and ambient occlusion maps, so you have everything ready to start using them in your project right away.
Included Materials
- Default Grid – Change the texture, color, scale, and reflection, and enable world-aligned textures so it fits nicely wherever you place it.
- Cheap Grid – A lighter version of the Default Grid with fewer features, made for simpler setups and lower-end systems.
- Unlit Grid – A grid material that stays unaffected by lighting.
- Translucent Grid – A grid material that lets light pass through.
- Glossy Grid – A grid material with a shiny, reflective look.
- Modular Grid – A highly customizable grid material that gives you more control over the full look of the grid, including per-square colors, distance fade, and more.
We are currently developing a new game ourselves, and we use these grid materials throughout our prototype environments. They help us establish scale quickly, block out spaces faster, and get a better feel for each area early in development. The alternative grid colors also make it easy to separate zones and differentiate parts of the environment during production.
